An established device business needed to meet more demanding security requirements while developing products for enterprise and government use. The challenge spanned its engineering organisation, connected-device platform and physical hardware.
My responsibility
I mapped the teams, repositories, environments, suppliers and customer commitments. Working with existing leadership, I established clearer responsibilities, shared planning and regular technical alignment across internal and outsourced engineering teams.

Translate carrier requirements into a security and privacy design, linking controls to the evidence needed for review. Cover service authentication, separation of customer data and the device lifecycle.
Connect hardware and software decisions
Lead secure-phone architecture around hardware-backed device identity, key management and controlled updates, with supplier evaluation and manufacturing considerations built into product planning.
Test the assumptions behind new capabilities
Define resilient communications use cases and a path to validating radio, failover and device behaviour. Keep proposed performance separate from measured results.
